Inspiration for this painting came from the poem 'The Enkindled Spring'by D.H.Lawrence 'Wild puffing of emerald trees, and flame-filled bushes, Thorn-blossom lifting in wreaths of smoke between Where the wood fumes up and the watery, flickering rushes.
