Passing Time
2009( Private collection ) The bond between the girl in blue and the horse, in this case a toy, shows the girl sharing her emotions and fears whilst growing up. It is a relationship leading to maturity of the soul and a silent understanding between the two of them. She keeps the toy close to her as if warding of the inevitable rupture, when the girl must abjure her hold on youth and join in with the adult society and its rules and responsibilties. She is aware of passing time and can feel the changes it brings, coming very soon. Time holds for no one and we can't do anything but.......Passing Time.
